With over 40 years experience in the design and manufacture of microprocessor based industrial control equipment, Pennywise Peripherals can realise your project from concept to design to manufacture and support.
One of the many areas we specialise in is embedded system designs where we can design, prototype and manufacture micro-controller based electronics. From GPS hand held devices with touch screens to rugged industrial controllers with arrays of relays and inputs to micro-power devices running off coin-cell batteries, the possibilities are endless.
Schematics
From diagrams on paper, whiteboard and even on the back of napkins, we use these to generate schematic diagrams for your project. These schematic diagrams illustrate the electrical connections and relationships between various components and functional blocks.
Printed Circuit Board design
We create a Printed Circuit Board design on CAD, which maps out the copper connections between components. We carefully considering track routing with great emphasis on solid power and ground connections. After manufacture of the board, we then load the board with components.
FPGA, CPLD
Expertise in Field Programmable Gate Arrays and Complex Programmable Logic Devices. When the complexity and speed requirements increase, we can employ more esoteric solutions using programmable logic.
Software for embedded systems
The heart of functionality of an electronic device is typically the micro-controller. Software is loaded directly into the micro-controller and is secured against copying.
Assember or machine code software
Often there is a requirement to develop assembler (machine code) software for specific purposes such as high-speed data manipulation routines or for deprecated micro processors. We have expertise in this field.
PC software
We write feature rich applications on various operating systems, often leveraging on a multitude of library tools, both in-house developed and third-party.
